Quaero Capital to acquire Socamex and Laboratorio de Gestión Ambiental from Urbaser.

Quaero Capital, a private equity firm, agreed to acquire Socamex, a water purification company, and Laboratorio de Gestión Ambiental, a laboratory, from Urbaser, a provider of recycling services. Financial terms were not disclosed. With a staff of more than 250 people, the Urbaser subsidiary carries out tasks of design, construction, maintenance and operation of sewage and water treatment plants, water treatment and waste treatment facilities, as well as technical assistance to companies, municipalities and communities.
