Alibaba, a provider of online and mobile commerce businesses, completed a $912m investment in Lazada, a developer of an online shopping and selling marketplace. This is on top of a recent cash injection of $378.25m in May, bringing the total investment made by Alibaba into the Southeast Asian e-commerce firm to $1.3bn since the beginning of 2022. Lazada is majority owned by Alibaba.
