Daetwyler, an international industrial supplier of elastomer products, completed the acquisition of CTsystems, a developer of dielectric elastomer technology, from Empa, a firm that conducts cutting-edge materials and technology research. Financial terms were not disclosed. "Our electroactive polymers in a unique stacked design are a promising technology for the future. I am convinced that the technology with electroactive polymers has the potential to become one of our top-selling product lines in the long term," Dirk Lambrecht, Daetwyler CEO.
