Nissan Motor to acquire Vehicle Energy Japan from Innovation Network Corporation of Japan.

Nissan Motor, an automobile manufacturer, agreed to acquire Vehicle Energy Japan, a lithium-ion battery maker, from Innovation Network Corporation of Japan, a private equity firm. Financial terms were not disclosed. "The investment will allow Nissan to secure a stable battery supplier and contribute to the development of next-generation batteries with a competitive edge in terms of both performance and cost," Nissan.
