Synopsis

Edit

Onivia, a neutral and independent telecom operator, completed the acquisition of fibre-to-the-home network from MASMOVIL, a telecommunications operator. Macquarie Capital, Abrdn, Daiwa Energy & Infrastructure, and Arjun Infrastructure Partners are investors in Onivia. Financial terms were not disclosed. “This acquisition reinforces Onivia’s position in the market as the largest neutral and independent fibre operator. We believe that there are great opportunities for growth in the Spanish telco market with increasing value and market competition in rural municipalities to reduce the digital divide in these areas," Jose Antonio Vázquez Blanco, Onivia CEO.
