General Mills, an American multinational manufacturer and marketer of branded consumer foods, led a $120m funding Series round in GrubMarket, a food technology company, with participation from Tiger Global, Squarepoint, Apeira Capital, Grosvenor, Liberty Street Funds, Walleye Capital, and Celtic House Asia. “We’re a very profitable business and don’t need financing for working capital purposes -- we’ll use proceeds for mergers and acquisitions. We want to digitally transform the American food supply chain industry," Mike Xu, GrubMarket CEO.
