Prospect Medical, a firm offering healthcare and physician services, agreed to acquire three Connecticut hospitals from Medical Properties Trust, a healthcare facility REIT, for $457m. MPT presently plans to utilize proceeds from the transaction to reduce debt and to fund select acquisition and other investment opportunities.
