Almira agreed to acquire KFC restaurant business in Russia from AmRest Group, a European multi-brand restaurant operator, for $105m. Completion of the transaction is subject to approval by the competition authority in Russia and consent by YUM! Brands and other regulatory authorizations that may be applicable in Russia. AmRest has been present in Russia since 2007 and currently operates 215 KFC restaurants in this market.
