DTE Electric completed the acquisition of Terrapin Energy from GFS US Holding.

DTE Electric, a Detroit-based diversified energy company, completed the acquisition of Terrapin Energy, a company which owns the Big Turtle 2 Wind Park and a 60% interest in Big Turtle Interconnection, from GFS US Holding. Financial terms were not disclosed. The agreement will provide DTE Electric with 29.4 megawatts of renewable energy capacity. It also allows the utility to provide electricity generation to its MIGreenPower voluntary renewable energy program customers who otherwise would not be served until 2024 or later.
