Synopsis

Savannah Energy, an African-focused British independent energy company, terminated the acquisition of the South Sudan oil and gas business of Petronas, a Malaysian oil and gas company, for $1.25bn. Despite the substantial efforts of all parties since the announcement, it has not been possible to complete the proposed transaction on the envisioned terms and the original sale and purchase agreement is terminated.
