Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, a son of Qatar’s former prime minister, withdrew his offer to acquire Manchester United, a football club, for £5bn. The withdrawal leaves James Ratcliffe, the United Kingdom’s richest person, as the only other known prospective buyer of Manchester United.
