Novatek to acquire a 27.5% stake in Sakhalin-2 from Shell for $1.16bn.

Novatek, a natural gas producer, agreed to acquire a 27.5% stake in Sakhalin-2 from Shell, a multinational oil and gas company, for $1.16bn. Russian President Vladimir Putin gave his consent for the transfer of the required funds to Shell.
