Trillium Capital, an investment organization, offered to acquire Getty Images, a visual media company, for $3.95bn. Getty shares still trade at a sharp discount to the Trillium bid, and the challenges to completing the proposed deal are substantial. Shares of Getty surged 40% on April 24 to $7.09, leaving them nearly 30% below the proposed offering price.
