Norsk Hydro, an industrial company, agreed to acquire a minority stake in Mineração Rio do Norte, a producer of bauxite, from Vale, a mining company producing iron ore, pellets, and nickel. Financial terms were not disclosed. The sale of MRN completes Vale's major divestment program of 10 non-core assets across multiple continents.
