Rocket Lab, Launcher, Firefly Aerospace, Inliper and Stratolaunch completed the acquisition of various aerospace machinery and equipment assets from Virgin Orbit.

Rocket Lab, an aerospace manufacturer and launch service provider, Launcher, a developer of rockets, Firefly Aerospace, a private aerospace firm, Inliper, a joint venture company, and Stratolaunch, an aerospace company providing high-speed flight test services, completed the acquisition of various aerospace machinery and equipment assets from Virgin Orbit, a provider of launch services for small satellites, for $36m. “Firefly strategically bid and purchased the Virgin Orbit inventory for the significant cost savings on common off-the-shelf components that we use in our product lines, and the benefit of eliminated supply chain lead-times associated with critical flight components,” Firefly Aerospace.
