Air Incheon to acquire freighter business from Korean Air-backed Asiana Airlines.

Synopsis

Air Incheon, a cargo airline, agreed to acquire freighter business from Korean Air-backed Asiana Airlines, a South Korean airline. Financial terms were not disclosed. “The preferred bidder was selected through a comprehensive evaluation of all factors crucial to the growth of the air cargo industry, a key national industry, while maintaining the existing competitive environment. We are committed to quickly finalizing the sales process through flexible negotiations, and completing the acquisition of Asiana Airlines," Korean Air. On June 17, Korean Air selected Air Incheon as preferred bidder of Asiana Airlines’ freighter business.
