Karoon Energy to acquire stakes in US Gulf of Mexico assets from LLOG Exploration for $720m.

Karoon Energy, an ASX listed international oil and gas exploration and production company, agreed to acquire stakes in US Gulf of Mexico assets from LLOG Exploration, one of the largest privately-owned exploration and production companies, for $720m. The oil and gas explorer said it would raise around AUD480m $312m to fund a 30% stake purchase in the Who Dat and Dome Patrol fields in offshore Louisiana and a near 16% stake buy in the Abilene field.
