FSC Franchising, a franchisor behind Beef 'O' Brady's and The Brass Tap, completed the acquisition of Newk’s eatery, a chain of fast casual cafés. Financial terms were not disclosed. "We've been looking to add something to our platform for several years, and we think that Newk's is the perfect complementary brand. It's fast casual with average unit volumes of $2.2m, and it has the same geographical footprints across the Southeast that we currently have, so we're ecstatic about that partnership. We also had a record year for new deals with our existing brands, and we have another 23 openings in the budget for next year," Chris Elliott, FSC Franchise CEO.
