Mahindra and OTPP to invest $368m in Mahindra Susten and $428m in Sustainable Energy Infra Trust.

Synopsis

Mahindra, a farm equipment, utility vehicles, information technology and financial services company, and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board, a global institutional investor, agreed to invest $368m in Mahindra Susten, a renewable energy company, and $428m in Sustainable Energy Infra Trust, an Indian infrastructure investment trust. “We are proud to co-sponsor the SEIT alongside our partner Mahindra Susten and to contribute to India's renewable energy ambitions. This milestone not only reinforces our commitment to invest globally in green and transition assets but also demonstrates the attractiveness of renewable energy investment opportunities in India,” Deb Hajara, OTPP Managing Director, Infrastructure & Natural Resources.
