Jumbo, a network of over 700 supermarkets, and Vermaat, a provider of high-end catering and hospitality services, agreed to form La Place joint venture. Financial terms were not disclosed. “This strategic decision is in line with our positioning and expansion ambitions. We are franchise entrepreneur of 41 La Place restaurants and that remains the same in the intended construction. I am delighted that we as a co-shareholder in the future joint venture can continue the growth ambitions of La Place to serve guests with a fresh assortment in this food service formula,” says Rick Zeelen, Vermaat CEO.
