Asia Cement, a Taiwanese cement company, offered to acquire Asia Cement (China), an investment holding company manufacturing and selling cement, concrete, and related products, for $172m. On August 26, 2024, Asia Cement (China)'s shareholders have rejected the its majority owner's take-private offer.
