BlackRock completed the acquisition of a 50.1% stake in Mainova WebHouse, a German data center firm, from Mainova, a regional energy supplier. Financial terms were not disclosed. “Mainova WebHouse has successfully established itself in the market for data centers. We are proud of the already visible success through the construction of our first data center campus, the use of our two data centers by a renowned customer and this forward-looking partnership. The support of Mainova and BlackRock will allow us to significantly expand our presence in Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main region in the future and to meet the demand for sustainable data centers," Oliver Schiebel, Mainova WebHouse Managing Director.
