Groupe Rocca and Auchan Retail completed the acquisition of Codim 2 from Casino Group.

Groupe Rocca, a specialized distributor between the continent and Corsica, and Auchan Retail, a French retail group, completed the acquisition of Codim 2, a Corsican supermarkets, cash & carries and drive-throughs operator, from Casino Group, a French mass-market retail group. Financial terms were not disclosed. As part of the sale, Rocca Group has undertaken to take over all the stores, which will be operated under the Auchan banner, as well as all Codim 2 store and head office employees. The proceeds of this joint bid would support Casino’s financial restructuring and maintain a maximum number of employees in the stores.
