Vestjyllands Andel to acquire a 70% stake in BJ-Agro.

Vestjyllands Andel, a wholesale distributor of non-durable goods, agreed to acquire a 70% stake in BJ-Agro, an advisory company pivotal in the agricultural sector. Financial terms were not disclosed. "Thanks to solid experimental work and research into biostimulants and micronutrients, BJ-Agro has a number of new knowledge techniques in the pipeline that can make a difference in the green transition of Danish agriculture. The highly current tripartite agreement indicates that in future we will have a smaller cultivation area to produce food. In that context, BJ-Agro's specialist knowledge plays a decisive role, so that together we manage to secure the same yield with significantly less input," Steen Bitsch, Vestjyllands Andels CEO.
