Macquarie to acquire a 42% stake in Energia Mayakan from Engie for $250m.

Macquarie, a global infrastructure firm, agreed to acquire a 42% stake in Energia Mayakan, a Mayakan gas pipeline on the Yucatán peninsula of southeast Mexico, from Engie, a French energy company, for $250m. “We recognize the importance that investment in critical infrastructure plays in helping to meet growing energy demand while reducing fuel oil emissions in Mexico,” Ernesto Gonzalez, Macquarie Asset Management Managing Director.
