Vaisala to acquire the WeatherDesk business of Advent-backed Maxar Intelligence for $70m.

Vaisala, a global leader in weather, environmental, and industrial measurements, agreed to acquire the WeatherDesk business of Advent-backed Maxar Intelligence, a provider of comprehensive space solutions and secure, precise, geospatial intelligence, delivering value to government and commercial customers, for $70m. “Weather is a key parameter for commodity and energy trading as well as energy demand planning.
