Hydro-Québec, a supplier of electricity, and Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro, an energy provider, agreed to form a joint venture. Financial terms were not disclosed. “Today, we rightly amplify the powerful Churchill River and secure its place as one of national importance for us and our country. This river is a world-class source of renewable energy, critical to addressing climate change and is an important economic enabler.
