Iberdrola to sell 49% stake in Windanker offshore wind project to Kansai Electric for €1.28bn.

Iberdrola, a multinational electric utility company specializing in renewable energy, has agreed to sell a 49% stake in its Windanker offshore wind project to Kansai Electric Power Co., Japan's second-largest electric utility, for €1.28bn. "This operation allows us to accelerate growth in offshore wind with a strategic partner like Kansai," Ignacio Galán, Iberdrola Chairman.
