Ageas to acquire the underwriting business of Saga for £67.5m.

Ageas, a Belgian multinational insurance company, agreed to acquire the underwriting business of Saga, UK's specialist provider of products and services to people aged over 50, for £67.5m. "Today's announcement represents an exciting next step for Saga Insurance. This is a complementary partnership which leverages the strength of the Saga brand and customer base, along with Ageas's extensive and growing UK insurance expertise," Mike Hazell, Saga Group CEO.
