Wirtualna Polska Media to acquire Invia Group from €239.7m.

Wirtualna Polska Media, a media agency, agreed to acquire Invia Group, a Czech-based company and one of the largest pan-European online travel agencies, from €239.7m. "If regulatory approvals are obtained, according to our data, this will be the largest investment by a Polish, non-state company in Germany and the fifth largest foreign M&A transaction of such a company in history. Thanks to the scale of Western European markets and the growth potential of the CEE region, one of the largest tourist groups in Europe will be created. This is an important moment in the development of WP, because for the first time in our history the majority of revenues and profits will be generated by tourism activities," Jacek Świderski, Wirtualna Polska Holding President.
