Ecopetrol, an integrated oil and gas company, completed the acquisition of the remaining 45% stake in CPO-09 Block from Repsol, crude oil and natural gas explorer and producer, for $452m. This transaction strengthens Ecopetrol's position in the exploration and production of hydrocarbons in the Llanos Orientales basin and consolidates its presence in the region.
