Hong Kong International Airport to acquire Winland 800 Hotel from Mexan for HKD765m.

Hong Kong International Airport, through its HKIAA subsidiary, agreed to acquire Winland 800 Hotel, an 800-room hotel located in Tsing Yi, from Mexan, a hotel operator and building materials supplier, for HKD765m. "The group’s performance in this sector is dependent on the incoming of travellers, especially those coming from mainland China. The rise of day trippers and prudent spending pattern pose challenges to the hotel industry," Edwin Lun, Mexan Chairman.
