Gerdau to acquire Klockner Metals Brazilian operations of Klockner & Co.

Gerdau, a global steel producer, agreed to acquire Klockner Metals' Brazilian operations of Klockner & Co, a German-based steel and metal distributor. Financial terms are not disclosed. The transaction will increase Gerdau's penetration in the distribution of flat steel, used in segments such as white goods and automobiles.
