Ares Management and CDPQ completed the acquisition of a minority stake in Synex Business Performance from Brown Brothers Harriman.

Ares Management, an American publicly traded, global alternative asset manager, and CDPQ, an institutional investor, completed the acquisition of a minority stake in Synex Business Performance, a player in the independent insurance brokerage sector, from Brown Brothers Harriman, provider of investment management services. Financial terms were not disclosed. "More than ever, Synex is establishing itself as a leading player in insurance brokerage in Canada.
