Paine Schwartz-backed HGS BioScience completed the acquisition of Earthgreen Products and Menefee Mining Corporation.

Paine Schwartz-backed HGS BioScience, a company specialized in production of extracted humates in both granule and liquid form, completed the acquisition of Earthgreen Products, a manufacturer and wholesaler of freshwater humic acid products, and Menefee Mining Corporation, a mining firm that extracts and processes humate organic material utilized. Financial terms were not disclosed. “Humates mined from New Mexico’s Menefee Formation are known to be among the world’s highest quality natural humate deposits. Freshwater humates from this mine and its reserve typically generate higher levels of biological activity and they consistently test high in humic and fulvic acids. We’re excited to incorporate these products into the HGS BioScience lineup to enhance growers’ soils to promote plant growth and productivity,” Mike Steffeck, HGS BioScience CEO.
