Mitsui OSK Lines to invest a 10% stake in Fengmiao I from Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.

Synopsis

Mitsui OSK Lines, a Japanese shipping company, agreed to invest a 10% stake in Fengmiao I, a 495 MW offshore wind project located off the coast of Taichung County, Taiwan, from Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, a fund manager specializing in greenfield energy investments and a global leader in offshore wind. Financial terms were not disclosed. “We are delighted to welcome MOL as a co-investor in Fengmiao – and I am confident that we together will bring a project of the highest standards to commercial operation. The transaction recognizes the value created by CIP during the development phase as well as CIP’s strong offshore wind track record in Taiwan,” Thomas Wibe Poulsen, CIP Partner and Head of Asia-Pacific.
