Polish Open Fiber to acquire Elsat from Vectra Group.

Synopsis

Polish Open Fiber, a company that provides installation and repair services for fiber optic networks, agreed to acquire Elsat, a provider of fixed-line internet and television services, from Vectra Group. Financial terms were not disclosed. "This transaction marks an important milestone in the development of the Polish Open Fiber Network and the Polish telecommunications market. Connectivity is a fundamental pillar of our society and economy. By combining our resources, we are creating a stronger foundation that will meet future challenges, ensuring competitiveness and a more reliable and sustainable network. We will accelerate the rollout of the fiber network, improve service quality, and increase market competitiveness by offering retail operators, and ultimately consumers, greater choice and better connectivity—critical to education, economic development, and equal opportunities," Ignacio Irurita, Polish Open Fiber Network CEO.
