Danone completed the acquisition of The Akkermansia Company.

Danone, a food-products corporation, completed the acquisition of The Akkermansia Company, a biotech company. Financial terms were not disclosed. "We are very excited about becoming part of the Danone family. It provides us with the resources to accelerate global growth of the pasteurized Akkermansia muciniphila MucT® strain and develop our brands faster," Michael Oredsson, The Akkermansia Company CEO.
