Heidelberg Materials-backed Ciments du Maroc, a producer of construction materials in cement, aggregates, and ready‑mix concrete, completed the acquisition of a 62.62% stake in Asment de Temara, a construction materials company in Morocco that produces cement, ready-mix concrete, and aggregates, from Votorantim Cimentos, a Brazilian multinational company in cement and building materials. Financial terms were not disclosed. “We are delighted to have reached a crucial milestone in the planned acquisition of Asment de Témara. This investment aims to further strengthen the German group’s presence in Morocco. It will also create substantial synergies through the use of alternative fuels and by accelerating decarbonization in an attractive and growing market,” Hakan Gurdal, Ciments du Maroc Chairman of the Board of Directors.
