Nidec completed the acquisition of Xecom.

Nidec, a Japanese manufacturer and distributor of electric motors, completed the acquisition of Xecom, a manufacturer of scroll compressors for air conditioning, heat pumps and refrigeration. Financial terms were not disclosed. With acquisition of this scroll compressor technology, Nidec will be able to expand and consolidate its presence in the refrigeration segment and make it able to join new fields in the air conditioning and heat pump markets and continue to contribute to the sales and profits of the entire Nidec group.
