ArcLight to acquire Middletown Energy Center.

ArcLight, a private equity firm focused on energy infrastructure investments, agreed to acquire Middletown Energy Center, a 464 MW combined-cycle gas turbine power plant in Butler County, Ohio. Financial terms were not disclosed. "We expect Middletown to play an increasingly critical role in providing reliable and affordable power to a market that is experiencing a rapid expansion of data center-driven demand growth. Reliable and efficient power generation is essential to ensuring continued industrial and data-center related investment in the region, and highly efficient resources such as Middletown are vital to these initiatives," Andrew Brannan, ArcLight Managing Director.
