ChrysCapital, a private equity firm, completed the acquisition of 85% stake in Theobroma, a pan-India bakery, from ICICI Venture, a private equity firm, for INR24.1bn. “With Theobroma, the idea is to start our western dessert platform, and at the right stage, if a good opportunity comes our way, M&A is definitely something we will explore within this platform we are looking to create,” Rajiv Batra, ChrysCapital Director.
