NordicNinja, a venture capital firm, led a $23m Series B round in Lightyear, a digital investing platform, with participation from Superangel, SpecialistVC, Lightspeed, Metaplanet, Skaala, and some prominent angels, such as Veriff’s Kaarel Kotkas, Wise’s Lars Trunin, and Bolt’s Markus Villig. “With just three years under our belt, we’ve already helped shift the investment culture in Estonia. Before us, there was no real competition for banks, and now we’re seeing fees fall and access improve. This round allows us to take that momentum across Europe – and build an experience that meets every need of the modern investor,” Martin Sokk, Lightyear CEO and Co-Founder.
