Thopen Energy, a renewable energy company, agreed to acquire 44 distributed generation plants of Raizen Energia, a energy company for BRL600m. The transaction is in line with its strategy of prioritizing its core businesses - such as sugar and ethanol production and fuel distribution - in addition to reducing the company's debt, which exceeded BRL30bn at the end of the 2024/25 harvest.
