EIG to acquire a 49.87% stake in Transportadora de Gas del Peru from CPP Investments.

EIG, a provider of institutional capital to the energy sector globally, agreed to acquire a 49.87% stake in Transportadora de Gas del Peru, an operator of natural gas and natural gas liquids pipelines, from CPP Investments, a global investment management organization. Financial terms were not disclosed. “TgP has been a successful investment for CPP Investments over the past decade, delivering strong returns for CPP contributors and beneficiaries. We look forward to seeing TgP’s continued success under EIG. We will continue to seek out and evaluate investment opportunities in Latin America, given the region’s attractive fundamentals,” James Bryce, CPP Investments Head of Infrastructure.
