MRKT Poland completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Cracovia from CVC-backed Comarch.

MRKT Poland, a company controlled by Robert Platek, completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Cracovia, a Polish professional football club, from CVC-backed Comarch, a multinational software house and systems integrator. Elzbieta Filipiak acquired a minority stake in the club. Financial terms were not disclosed. “For more than 20 years, Comarch financed Cracovia, and this has been an important part of the company’s history. However, we concluded that at this stage it would be best for both sides to change the nature of the relationship from an ownership one to a partnership,” Krzysztof Krawczyk, CVC Head of Poland.
