TD Innovation Partners, Sun Life, and Sobeys led a $15m funding round in Simple Ventures.

TD Innovation Partners, a division of TD Bank that provides banking and financing solutions for startups and scaleups, Sun Life, a global insurance and investment company, and Sobeys, a food retailer specializing in a diverse range of grocery items, led a $15m funding round in Simple Ventures, a Canadian venture studio that develops businesses by combining investment, operational support, and management expertise. The funding will be used to accelerate new company creation in Canada, building ventures that otherwise wouldn’t exist, and encouraging more Canadians abroad to come home and build.
