Synopsis

Accel-KKR, an investment firm focused on mid-sized software and tech-enabled businesses, completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Arbiter, a comprehensive sports and school management platform designed to streamline payment processing, registration, event scheduling, and event management, from Serent Capital, a lower-middle market private equity firm focused on investing in high growth service and technology businesses. Financial terms were not disclosed. "Arbiter has built a strong brand over many years by delivering youth sports technology that serves the needs of schools, officials, and athletic departments. We believe there is significant opportunity ahead to accelerate Arbiter's impact and reach. Our investment will support continued product innovation, expanded services, and the ability to meet the evolving needs of its customers," Dean Jacobson, Accel-KKR Managing Director.
