Vår Energi, an independent upstream oil and gas company, to acquire a 39.89% stake in West Ekofisk and Albuskjell fields from TotalEnergies, an integrated multi-energy company. Financial terms are not disclosed. “TotalEnergies continues to actively high-grade its Upstream portfolio by seizing value-accretive divestment opportunities. We remain fully committed to Norway, where the Company holds interests in many licenses, including the producing fields in the Greater Ekofisk Area,” Jean-Luc Guiziou, TotalEnergies Senior Vice President Europe for Exploration & Production.
