Grupo Estrella completed the acquisition of Cemento Bayano from Cemex for $200m.

Grupo Estrella, a Dominican construction and industrial conglomerate, completed the acquisition of Cemento Bayano, a Panamanian cement and concrete manufacturer, from Cemex, a building products company, for $200m. “These transactions are important building blocks in our strategy to rebalance our portfolio and continue investing in growth in priority markets, particularly aggregates in the US,” Jaime Muguiro, Cemex CEO.
